Bushcraft Series: Land Navigation

February 18 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm EST

Do you want a chance to harness your inner Bear Grylls? Outdoor Chattanooga’s new Bushcraft Series offers you the chance to learn essential outdoor skills such as how to properly start a campfire, survival skills, knots, campfire cooking, navigating, and building a shelter from natural materials.  This instructional series will help you become less reliant on modern conveniences so you can build a greater connection and confidence when enjoying the outdoors. Prepare for the unexpected!

This specific class introduces the skills necessary to navigate using the traditional map and compass.
This activity is also known as orienteering and is a fun activity that involves navigation through unfamiliar terrain using a map and compass.  This beginner friendly class will begin instruction in the classroom and will follow with a practical field experience in the open and uneven wooded terrain.

Our lead instructor is retired US Military Green Beret, Jason Chapman.

All equipment is provided.
