The City of Chattanooga utilizes a collaborative, citizen-driven method called “Budgeting For Outcomes,” which aims to make the most efficient and effective use of every taxpayer dollar. The FY21 budget will again focus on delivering results in five priority areas: High Performing Government, Growing Economy, Stronger Neighborhoods, Safer Streets, and Smarter Students & Stronger Families.

As we begin the process of creating its Fiscal Year 2021 budget, we want to hear from Chattanoogans. The City will host three public input sessions around the city to reach citizens in all of Chattanooga’s City Council districts. This process allows for direct, significant input from the community on what they want the city to fund for the upcoming year.
