Canceled: Guided Hike: Little Cedar Mountain

*****With growing concerns related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the city is taking precautions and implementing strategies recommended by the CDC to prevent the spread and lessen the impact of COVID-19 on the Greater Chattanooga area. As a division of the City, we are suspending all public programs and events until further notice. We make this decision with a heavy heart and the safety of our community in mind.

Outdoor Chattanooga’s guides will lead a leisurely-paced 4-mile hike on TVA’s Little Cedar Mountain trail near Nickajack Lake. The hike is rated as moderate with two climbs and two descents totaling about 350 feet in elevation gain/loss. You’ll be rewarded with scenic views of Nickajack Lake and the surrounding mountains while learning about Little Cedar Mountain’s wide variety of plant and animal life. Appropriate for ages 8 and up with a participating adult. Cost: Free. Online registration required in advance.
