National Public Lands Day/ Stringer’s Ridge SORBA Volunteer Opportunity

Stringer’s Ridge / National Public Lands Day

September 25th is National Public Lands Day. To celebrate, SORBA Chattanooga is hosting a trail day at Stringers Ridge Park. We will be focused on widening corridor and drainage clearance along with invasive species removal and overgrowth.

In honor of Public Lands Day, September 25, Chattanooga Park Stewards will host an environmental stewardship event. There will be opportunities to create park improvements, learn trail maintenance skills, and participate in plant management.
Join us for a day of conservation work, and learn more about the Park Stewards Program. On hand to lead the event’s activities will be Reflection Riding’s Byron Brooks, team members from Southern Off Road Bicycle Association and Public Works water quality experts Lyn Rutherford and Lucy Ellis.

Why: To learn about land stewardship and help the parks with conservation and maintenance.
