Art and the Outdoors

Experience the perfect blend of nature and art with a guided walk at Greenway Farm, accompanied by Outdoor Chattanooga’s knowledgeable naturalist staff. After immersing ourselves in the beauty of the surroundings, we’ll help you take your inspiration to the canvas with the creative Splashy Youth Arts Workshop.

During this workshop, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of landscape painting, including perspective and the use of simple shapes to craft captivating compositions. The focus will be on painting from life, understanding the horizon line, and using perspective to bring depth and dimension to your artwork. This class is tailored for beginners, where we’ll guide you through the process of drawing, sketching, and painting with washes.

As we venture along the paths, you can choose between a leisurely stroll on the crushed gravel path, known for its almost level surface and ease, or for the more adventurous spirits, an option to explore a double wide dirt path for a little extra distance.
