Cycle the Sequatchie scenic ride is Saturday, October 5th,  through the most picturesque valley in the South followed by a farm-fresh feast and outdoor expo. Come see why Sequatchie Valley is Chattanooga’s cycling playground! 

Several auxiliary activities are also available in coordination with this event:   farmers feast, outdoor expo, kids bike rodeo, guided hikes, and a canoe tour on the Sequatchie River.

Outdoor Chattanooga will offer a 3-mile guided canoe tour on a scenic section of the Sequatchie River as part of the festivities for the Cycle Sequatchie event on October 5.   Or, just canoe with us!.  This 2-hour guided canoe tour is a great activity for family members and friends of the cyclists participating in the ride to get out and have an adventure of their own. The quiet canoe tour will last approximately 2 hours and is appropriate for ages 8+ when accompanied by a participating adult. The cost is $25 per person which includes guides on the water, tandem canoe, paddle and life jacket. Some prior canoeing/paddling experience is helpful but not required to participate in this tour.This is a beginner friendly paddling experience utilizing tandem canoes which participants will need to be able to navigate on their own. Prior to departure, you’ll receive basic paddling instruction, water safety information and be properly outfitted in a life jacket and canoe.
